Robert Gilroy, age 77 passed away on Tuesday August 7, 2018. Robert was born January 4, 1941 in New York, New York. Robert attended the University of Connecticut earning an MBA. Robert's career was in computer software, he was as avid amateur astronomer, and was a member and past president of the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association.
Robert is survived by his wife Carol, son Bruce, and five grandchildren Cole, Colin, Conor, Lily, and Jacob.
A celebration of life for Robert will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712, followed by a committal service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
