After growing up in Germany, Monika lived in Tucson for the last 50 years. Being with family, friends, and her pets made her happy. She loved entertaining, traveling, and staying active. She was an avid reader, learner, and worked hard for her goals, earning her bachelor's and masters degrees while raising 2 children, and working as a technical translator and engineering administrator. Monika was a caring mother, grandmother, friend, contributor to the community, and citizen of the world being both a Berliner and a Tucsonian. She will be dearly missed.
