Dad passed peacefully in his sleep on September 29, 2021. He has joined his wife-Lydia and son-Michael and grandson- Joey in heaven and is rejoicing with his Savior. He will be dearly missed by his children; David (Gina), Laura, Edward (Jennifer), and Diana. He will be sorely missed by his grandchildren; Gina, Mark, Sarah, Becca, Sami, Quinton, Michael, Lindsey, Daniel, Jordan, Katie, Lauren, Stephen, Aiden, Cody and his great grandchildren, Bryant, Lucas, Maddie, Layla, Kimberly, Kensley, Opal, Max, Emma, Micah, Emily and Bowie.

Dad continued to enjoy golfing with friends and family right up until a few weeks ago. He was an avid baseball and softball player and enjoyed playing both until he was 80 years old.

He was truly a family man and enjoyed vacations to San Diego and spending time with his family. There was always a reason to picnic at Madera Canyon, Rose Lake, Pena Blanca and numerous other locations around Tucson.

His family extended to his brothers and sisters at church where he ushered and assisted alongside mom in the many functions that the church hosted. In addition, he helped many of the congregation with projects at home including those projects that his children had.

A visitation for Mario will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Templo Betel, 5665 E 29th St, Tucson, AZ 85711. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 5665 E 29th ST, Tucson, AZ 85711. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, #C, Tucson, AZ 85712. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 12:45 PM to 3:00 PM at David Garcia Family Residence, 4254 E Calle De Madrid, Tucson, AZ 85711. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, #C, Tucson, AZ 85712.
