Larry Moon, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2016. He was born in Rogers, Arkansas but spent the last 50 years in Tucson. He became a faithful member of Tucson Baptist Church in 1966 and was blessed with many cherished friendships. He retired from the Air Force in 1971 after 20 years of service. He spent most of his life working as a mechanic and electronic technician. He enjoyed keeping his home appliances functioning well after their intended life expectancy. He loved the outdoors and could often be found hiking and hunting the mountains around Tucson. He will always be remembered for his integrity and endless willingness to help others. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, the love of his life and loving wife of 65 years, Becka Moon. He is also survived by sons Randy Moon (Diane) and Larry Moon (Lynn); daughter Diane Stokaylo (Gary); countless grandkids, great-grandkids, and 5 great-great grandkids. He is preceded in death by daughter Karen Moon Ross. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, 5801 E Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ. Graveside ceremony to follow funeral service. The viewing will begin at 11am. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Tucson Baptist Church Stewardship Fund.
