Joseph (Joe) was born on 19 August 1975 in Willcox, Arizona. He grew up and lived in Parker and Salome, Arizona, until the time he joined the U.S. Navy reaching the rank of Petty Officer 2nd class. After six years of honorable service, Joe worked as an avionics technician for various aircraft companies before finding a home at the Veterans Affairs (VA) assisting those in need. Joe led a full and productive life, and was always a welcome sight. His greatest accomplishment and contribution to this world was that of his two daughters whom he loved more than life itself.
He is survived by his daughters, Emily Sophia Couture and Chloe Elizabeth Couture; mother, Linda Villaverde Verdugo; his father and step-mother, Arthur Joseph Couture and Claudia Couture; his brothers Michael Villaverde Couture, Toriano Villaverde Couture, Arthur Joseph Couture, Jr., and Michael Edward Williams II; his nephews Christian Couture and Richard London Couture; his nieces McKenna Couture and Olivia Emma London Couture; and cousins Lynn Ann Couture and Lorrie Shelton.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul Verdugo and Herlinda V. Garcia; maternal grandparents Joseph E. Couture and Gladys May Joseph; and his uncle William (Bill) Couture.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. at East Lawn Palms Mortuary at 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, Arizona on 15 June 2019. Burial will be at the Sunset Willcox Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Michael Couture, Arthur Couture, Michael Williams, Christian Couture, Ryan Toon, Dave Prefling and Josh Harper.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions in memory of Joseph be made to Joseph's Memorial Fund to help support Joseph's daughters.
