Gina Paulina Tapia

Gina Paulina Tapia, age 60, of Tucson, AZ passed away December 20, 2023, surrounded by her family that loved her dearly. Gina is survived by her children, Jose Armenta (Clari), Efrain Armenta, Danny Armenta (Birri), many grandchildren, 4 sisters Victoria, Olga, Gloria, and Leticia, nieces/nephews, tias/tios, cousins, and numerous family and friends. Gina is preceded in death by her parents Julian and Nellie Tapia, son Francisco “Panchito” Armenta, brother Tony Tapia and sisters Maryhelen Olivares and Violet Tapia. Gina was born on January 17, 1963 to Julian and Nellie Tapia. Gina spent most of her life in Tucson and worked for TUSD transportation services for many years. Gina also worked for ballot voting. Gina adored her grandchildren and loved being a “Nana”. Gina enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and having a good time. Gina was scheduled for surgery in early December. Unfortunately, Gina’s health declined rapidly after an unplanned second surgery was performed. Gina will be missed dearly and our family is grateful to know that she is no longer in pain and finally at peace.

A visitation for Gina will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, followed by a religious ceremony from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
