March 2, 1956 - December 26, 2016
Gene C. Waer, 60, passed away peacefully in his home. He was a dedicated, hard-working plumber that retired from Tucson Plumbing after 28 years. He took pride in teaching his children life skills. You could always find him on a Saturday playing golf in his parents’ back yard. He loved to hunt and work on home projects. “Gene’s adventures” were some of his favorite pastimes. He was a man of few words, but notorious for his jokes.
Preceded in death by his father: Armando “James” R. Waer. Survived by his wife of 26 years, Rima, and five children: John, Rick, Amanda, Lily, and Jared; grandchild: Juliana; mother: Lydia Waer; siblings: Armando (Olga), Martin (Alicia), Richard (Irene [deceased]), Andy (Sherry), Yvonne, and Lorraine (Ramon Hernandez); many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Honored friends: Ed Padilla and Daniel Medrano
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017, 11:30 a.m., at 7351 E Speedway Blvd Tucson, Arizona 85710 (at the clubhouse)
