Ann was born on March 27, 1936, to her loving parents Vida and Bill Tecklenburg. She had 4 brothers, Bill (Sue), WH (Connie), Steve (Annette), Terry, and one sister, Susan (Randy) Faunce.
She graduated from high school in Winslow, AZ in 1954. She retired in 2005 from Sierra Tucson.
She married the love of her life Norman John (Mutt) Dixon on December 15, 1954 in Hobbs, NM. They had 3 daughters, Jean (Bob) Shields, Julie (Mike) Squires, Jeri Gossett, and one son, Bruce (Sandy) Dixon. Mutt and Ann fostered 3 girls, Lisa (Jim) Hensley, Lesley (Cody) Cross, and Holly (John) Harris that instantly became like daughters. She had 10 grandkids and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
The thing that made her happiest was being with her family. If you knew Ann, you were her family. She loved to love and to be loved.
After the passing of Mutt in 1996, Ann married Bill Herman on January 1, 2005 in Tucson, AZ. Together they enjoyed riding their side by side and going to yard sales. She loved to read, play cards and marbles.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Mutt, her daughter Jeri, two grandsons, Randy Shields and Bruce Alan Dixon, 3 brothers, Bill, WH, and Terry who passed one day prior, and 2 great grandsons, Bradly Shields and Damien Dixon. She was survived by William "Bill" Herman, 3 of her kids, Jean, Julie, and Bruce, stepson Bruce Herman, sister Susan and brother Steven (Kent). 8 grandkids, and again numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Ann was a lady with the amazing talent of giving everyone she met her unconditional love.
Services will be held at East Lawn Palms Mortuary located at 5801 East Grant Road on Friday, September 22, 2023 with a viewing at 11:30 am - 12:30 pm followed by services in the chapel at 12:30 pm and a burial in cemetery at 1:30 pm.
