Andrew Rene Perez

Andrew Rene Perez passed on to eternal life on July 11th, 2023, in Phoenix Arizona. Andrew was born in Tucson on August 8th, 1988 to Mercedes L. Perez who survives her son. Andrew had lived in Arizona his entire life.

Andrew is preceded in passing by his brother Adrian Daniel Perez, his nana Ana Perez, and his tata Daniel Perez. In addition to his mother Mercedes, Andrew is survived by many aunts, and uncles, and numerous family members who will cherish his memory.

Andrew is fondly remembered for his active lifestyle and his dedicated involvement in his community. He worked at the YMCA Triangle Y Camp for many years, counseling his peers and youths, and founding the Pink Rhinos there. He had a passion for teaching, for guiding young students through life. Andrew was a wrestling champion, an MMA fighter, and passed these skills to his students.

Andrew’s loss will be deeply felt, though he continues to watch over his family. Andrew will be deeply mourned and greatly missed by family, friends, and all those who had the incredible opportunity to have him in their lives.

A visitation for Andrew will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Jesus Reigns Christian Fellowship Christo Viene, 5337 S Palo Verde Road, Tucson, AZ 85706. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
