Ameila Ann Pearson was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who suddenly left this world on September 7, 2023, to be with her beloved Lord and Savior. Ann was born in Indiana to Joseph and Vadah.
After graduating with a degree from Indiana University School of Nursing, Ann earned her Master of Counselling at Missouri State University. With over fifty years in healthcare, she held positions as Registered Nurse, mental health supervisor, and instructor of nursing at St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, MO. Later, in her career, she became a health care compliance surveyor for the states of Missouri and Arizona
It was important to Ann to serve God by being active in her local church. In the past, she volunteered in the nursery and for many dedicated events the church hosted. Ann served the communities she lived in by volunteering at the Battlefield Volunteer Fire Department, American Red Cross, Kanakuk Kamps, and most recently, Pima Animal Care Center.
Some of her hobbies were horseback riding, basketball, (especially I.U.), and supporting women’s athletics at all levels.
Ann is survived by her children Kristin (David) and Jerry; two grandsons, Caleb, and Jacob; two sisters, Nancy, and Sarah; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph, mother, Vadah, and her brother, Joseph II.
There will be two celebrations of Ann’s life. One will take place at Tucson Baptist Church; 1525 S Columbus Blvd; Tucson, AZ 85711 Oct. 7, 2023 at 10:00 am. The other will be at Battlefield Fire Protection District Building, 4117 W. Second St.; Battlefield, MO 65619 on Oct 15, 2023, at 2:00 P, M,
In lieu of flowers, Ann would be honored if donations were to Friends of PACC: https://www.friendsofpacc.org/ or Kanakuk Scholarships at https://kanakuk.com/donate/.
