Amanda Rivera, born Amanda Valdenegro on December 16,1965 in Tucson Az, peacefully passed after a long battle with cancer on November 29,2023. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments. Amanda, known affectionately as "Manders", was a cherished wife, mother, nana and sister.
Amanda is survived by her loving husband, Paul Rivera and their children Sabrina, Brandon, and Abram Rivera. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Violet "Lulu" Rivera-Ortega. In addition to her immediate family Amanda is also survived by her sister and brother in-law: Clarisa and Buddy Otero, her sister Noemi Zazueta, her sister Anna Barreras and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Amanda was preceded in death by her parents Ricardo and Olga Valdenegro.
Amanda had the most generous heart, she wouldn't hesitate to help any person in need. She loved her children and Lulu more than life itself. She was a loving, kind and silly mom and she will be greatly missed.
She enjoyed attending concerts, listening to music and playing bingo. She also loved talking to her friends and family, but don't call her between 1 and 2 because "I'm watching General Hospital."
She left us way too soon but she fought to give us as much time with her as she possibly could. Her presence alone holds more than words can describe. Love, patience, acceptance, and a sense of humor are just the tip of the ice cap. Amanda had an easy feeling about her and she was always able to spark up a conversation with just about anybody. She will be immensely missed, but it's only until we meet again. We love you Momanda. "Bye, I love you, Have a good day!"
