Alice Michelle Morgan

November 7, 1963 – March 18, 2020

Alice was born on November 7th, 1963 at St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, in Tucson, Arizona, to Willie Alice McDonald of Tupelo, Mississippi and England Morgan of Houston, Texas.

Alice grew up in the Western Hills community of Tucson and attended Cavett Elementary, Utterback Junior High and Palo Verde High school. She would later go on to become a hospital clerk with the Veterans Administrative Hospital of Phoenix, Arizona; retiring after approximately 17 years due to health issues.

Alice moved to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in the summer of 2004 to be closer to her brother, James Kings, and his family. While there, her mobility and respiratory issues grew more challenging and began to require frequent and extended medical facility stays.

Despite her health struggles, Alice never stopped being the super-friendly, cordial, positive and outgoing person she always was, as well as being a genuinely sacrificial person who would literally give you the shirt off her back.

Beyond her brother’s family, the Messingers, of Tucson, who adopted her as one of their own, had long become her extended family. James Kings and his family are forever grateful to Alice’s best friend, Carole, her sisters Margie, Shirley, Barbara and Linda, as well as their parents, Judy (Mama) and Gil, for all their love and support of her over much of Alice’s life.

Alice departed this life into the arms of our Lord, in the late morning of Wednesday, March 18th 2020, leaving a host of family, friends and acquaintances, whom she loved, in the wake of her passing. She leaves behind her brother James Kings and his family of Allen, Texas, her son David Gilliam and her cousin Thelma of Houston, Texas, the Messinger family of Tucson, Arizona and a host of other relatives, friends and acquaintances.
