William E. Stark, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on February 2, 1950, William (Bill) was the only child of Henry E. and Doris R. Stark, who preceded him in death.
A proud graduate of The Ohio State University in 1973, Bill dedicated his career to serving others as an adjustor with the IRS for 16 years, helping countless individuals navigate their tax concerns with patience and expertise.
Bill was a devoted father to three children—Andy, Aimee, and Kari—and a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. His love for family was evident in every gathering, especially during the holiday season when he delighted everyone with his famous Christmas cookies.
A lifelong learner, Bill enjoyed engaging discussions about finance, sharing his knowledge with family and friends, and volunteering as treasurer of his former church, Amazing Grace Lutheran Church. He was also a committed Boy Scout and scout leader. As a band parent, he proudly supported his children's musical pursuits, cheering them on at every performance.
A long-time resident of Lawrenceville, GA, Bill was a voracious reader, avid board game enthusiast, and dedicated fan of his Ohio State Buckeyes football team. He loved to unwind playing SimCity, where he could unleash his creativity and strategic thinking.
Bill will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and community. A memorial service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Tucker, GA, on October 15, 2024, at 5 PM.
His legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Rest in peace, Bill; you will be dearly missed.
