Medora Whitsitt Dixon, age 101, died at her home in Dallas, Georgia on May 21, 2012. Her late husband was Charles Everett Dixon Sr. She is survived by her five children, David "Mack" Dixon, Charles Everett Dixon Jr., Barry Dixon, Sara Dixon Hester, Stephen W. Dixon and grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and cousins. A memorial can be seen on the Floral Hills Funeral Home website www.floralhillsfuneral.com. The family suggests that donations in memory be made to the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children www.atlantadayshelter.org.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 2 pm in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service.
