Maureen D McClendon

Maureen D McClendon, age 71, of Monroe, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024. Maureen was born on February 10, 1953 in Atlanta, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Janeal Deering, and her husband of 26 years, Bennie McClendon.

She is survived by her son, Patrick McClendon, and Bennie’s children, Roxanne Cooley and Arthur McClendon. Maureen has seven grandchildren: Christina Kentros (Jonny), Michelle Cooley, Harold Cooley III (Karsin), Alex McClendon (Mallory), Jessica DeCosta (Tony), Erica Raab (Dorian), and Josh McClendon and five great-grandchildren: Jonathan and Julian Kentros,

Annie Margaret Cooley, Ren and Rhett DeCosta. Maureen is also survived by her brother Ronald Veal

(Sara) and sister Frankie Shores (Bill); cousins, Allison Roberts, Steve Roberts (Lynda), Barbara

Spruill and Milton Atkins as well as many nieces and nephews and their children. Maureen was also blessed with many dear friends over the years. She loved her family, her friends, her home and her pets.

A visitation & reception for Maureen will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084. Following the visitation & reception will be a chapel funeral service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.

Maureen will be laid to rest in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084.
