Jack was born in Washington DC and grew up in Rock Hill, SC. A proud Alumnus of Georgia Tech, Jack and his wife of 61 years, Phyllis, put down roots in the Atlanta area where they raised their family.
Jack worked as a Systems Engineer for IBM for many years, had wide-ranging interests, and never stopped learning. A lifelong lover of music, he used his retirement to learn to play the saxophone and was an active member of the Roswell New Horizons Band. Anyone who knew Jack knows that he loved to talk and did so with a smile on his face. His stories will be missed.
Jack is survived by his wife Phyllis Jennings, children Julie Bell and husband Timothy Bell, Jason Jennings and wife Milagros Jennings, grandchildren Jennifer, Nick, Ben, Sylvia, and Nicolas.
He was preceded by parents Rhoda and John Jennings, sister Emilie Davall, son John (Johnny) Jennings
Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Roswell New Horizons Band, Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell, GA 33075.
