Daniel Edward Simpson

Daniel Edward “Ed” Simpson, 90, died peacefully at his home in Flowery Branch, GA on Jan 13, 2022. He was born September 10, 1931 in Drew, Mississippi to Sallee and Daniel Simpson. He married the love of his life, Janice in 1955. The vast majority of their life was spent in Clarkston, GA.

He was a man of great faith and demonstrated his walk with the Lord predominately at Clarkson Baptist Church. He was a deacon and director of adult studies and Sunday school teacher to young men.

Ed was involved in the community through coaching, booster club and the masonic lodge. He was an avid golfer, water sportsman and he loved the Georgia Bulldogs.

He was predeceased by his Parents, Sallee and Daniel Simpson, brother; W.S. Simpson, and five sisters; Lucille Johnson, Gertrude Zepernick, Janelle Forte, Flo Thompson and Elyse Weber.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Janice, Daughters; Debbie and Lisa (Robert), grandchildren; Nicole Pearce (Justin), Dallas Lee (Rachel) and Dillon Lee (Bentley) and great-grandchildren; Peyton and Parker Pearce and Boden and Elizabeth Rose Lee, along with many other loving family members. His family was his greatest blessing.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 21st at Floral Hills Funeral Home from 12pm to 2pm with a service to follow at 2pm.
