22, 2021 at Pebblebrook Rehabilitation Center in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Betty was born on March 4, 1933 in Decatur, Georgia, daughter of the late
Robert L. Bowman, Sr., and Gertrude (Wages) Bowman. She graduated
from Avondale High School in 1950 and worked for Studebaker Motors in the
corporate division until she met a Southern Bell installer and fell in love with
her husband-to-be, Jack Yeager. They were very active in the Yaarab Shrine
Temple and had several businesses together; including a communication
company and a bonding company. Betty loved being a mother, housewife, cooking, baking, yard work, animals and staying physically active. She and Jack were members of Avondale First Baptist Church for many years until they moved into Park Springs Retirement Community in 2015.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Jack, in 2016; her
sister, Frances (Bowman) Sprayberry; and brother, Robert (Bud) Bowman, Jr.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children; daughter,
Judy Yeager of Covington, Georgia; and son, Kenneth (Gayle) Yeager of
Atlanta, Georgia, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
