James Joseph LaHaye, age 86, of Lady Lake, Florida, was called home to our Lord, Thursday, August 3, 2017, in Traverse City, while surrounded by family. He was born December 10, 1930 in Detroit.
Jim was very proud of his family and liked to let everyone know that he "started this clan."
James is survived by his wife, Catherine LaHaye; children, Jim and Joyce LaHaye, of Holly, Michael and Marsha LaHaye, of Pentwater, Keith and Julie LaHaye, of Traverse City, and Timothy and Shelly LaHaye, of Tawas City; along with eight granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass at St. Francis, in Traverse City, and interment at Oakwood Cemetery took place in the fall.
Arrangements were entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City, Michigan.
