Socorro "Lil Cuy" Gabriel Fimbres Jr.

Socorro Gabriel Fimbres Jr. 25, born January 29, 1986 in Long Beach, CA to Socorro & Donna Fimbres, of Wilmington has gone to be with the Lord on September 10, 2011. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Socorro V. Fimbres, Papa (Bernard) and Grandma Rose Branzuela, Cousin Rudy Molina and Compadre James Dominguez.

He is survived by his Mother and Father Socorro and Donna Fimbres, wife Jasmin Lemus, Children Aliyah and Robert Fimbres, Sisters Veronica (Rudy) Carlos, Rachel Fimbres, nephews Rudy and Rio Carlos, Grandmother Tonie Fimbres, Great Grandmother Hijinia Rodriguez of AZ., his best friend/cousin Ruben Franco Jr., several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He graduated from Banning High School in 2004. He worked as a casual for ILWU Local 13. His present passion was golfing and spending time with his family and children. He enjoyed listening to oldies and hanging out with his cousins which he referred to as his ‘boys.” He had a contagious smile from ear to ear and the biggest heart anyone can imagine. He was loved by all and will be missed by many. His favorite song and saying was “YOU CAN’T KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN.”

Services are as follows: Rosary will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church 515 West Opp St. Wilmington at 6:30pm. Funeral Service on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Green Hill Memorial Park at 27501 S. Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes.
