Edna Marie Baradas

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a remarkable soul, Edna Marie Baradas, who passed away on April 22nd, at the age of 52, surrounded by family and loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and unwavering strength that will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her.

Edna was the beloved wife of Raymond Rances, sharing 23 years of marital bond that epitomized devotion and companionship. Together, they navigated life's joys and challenges, finding solace and support in each other's embrace. Their love was a testament to the enduring power of partnership, a beacon of hope in the darkest of times.

As a mother, Edna poured boundless love and wisdom into the life of her precious daughter, Ella. In her daughter's eyes, Edna's nurturing spirit and fierce determination will forever be a guiding light, illuminating the path ahead with love and courage.

Edna's journey was marked by resilience in the face of adversity. She bravely battled cancer for many years, never allowing it to dim her spirit or dampen her zest for life. Her courage was unwavering, her determination unyielding. Edna was a true badass, facing each challenge with grace and fortitude, inspiring all who knew her with her indomitable spirit.

In the embrace of eternity, Edna is reunited with her beloved mother and loving family members, finding solace in the arms of angels. She leaves behind her cherished father, Pedro Baradas, whose heart now aches with the loss of his only beloved daughter. Edna will also be deeply missed by her extended family, including numerous Titas, Titos, Cousins, nieces and nephews, in-laws as well as friends that were family – all held her close in their hearts.

Though Edna may have departed from this world, her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love. May her spirit soar amongst the stars, forever a shining beacon of hope and inspiration to us all.

Rest in peace, dear Edna. Your legacy of love will endure for eternity.

A celebration of Edna’s life will be held on June 9th and 10th, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life.

Monday, June 10th | Memorial Mass | 10:00am at St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 940 S Prospect Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.

Celebration of Life Reception following Memorial Mass | 12:00 pm at Redondo Beach Elks Lodge #1378, 315 Esplanade, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.
