William Ernest Chaytor

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William (Will/Willy) Chaytor, who passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at age 49, following a nine (9) year battle with cancer. Will was the joy and light in our lives with his kind heart, big smile, and wonderful sense of humour. Will was a hard-working Linesman deploying fibre optic infrastructure throughout Ontario, even receiving an award, with his partner, for saving the lives of two men while on duty. Will had many hobbies but his true passion was being on the water with a fishing rod in his hand.

William is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Melissa Chaytor, his son Nathan and daughter Madison. Beloved son of Ernie and Edna Chaytor; brother of Deborah Angel (Chaytor) and her husband Orlando Angel and loving uncle to their daughters Abigail and Olivia. Son-in-law to Sylvia Butt, brother-in-law to Jennifer Bloomer and loving uncle to Mellia and Jonathan, and a loving friend to many.

A service celebrating Will’s life will be held October 12, 2024, at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, Ontario. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm, funeral service will take place at 1:00pm in the chapel, followed by a short reception. We welcome all who knew Will to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.
