William E. Abray

Passed peacefully at home in his 93rd year. Remembered by many as a music teacher and a wonderful artist. Bill will be greatly missed. Survived by his wife Jean (Balmer) and children Ken (Brenda Clarke), John (Erin Duffy) and Janet (Roger Beaule). Grandchildren Jay, Sean, Kauri, Tamara, McCaul, Coel, Terry, Chloe, Stephanie and Kim and great-grandchildren Jonathon, Sloane and Luke.Bill was a WWll Air force veteran who taught in Toronto School Board (Jarvis School for boys, Forest Hill Collegiate) and the North York School Board (Don Mills Collegiate, William Lyon MacKenzie, Sir Sanford Fleming). He taught music and did school shows with many bands and orchestras in all the locations. Bill was a gentle soul who touched many young lives

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11am (9.30-11am visitation) at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, North York.
