Surrounded by her family, Ruth Elizabeth Susan Leigh (nee Wood), 77, of Toronto, went to be with her Lord and passed away peacefully at her home on January 31, 2013. A much-loved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she had bravely confronted and fought cancer. Ruth was an active member of Forward Baptist Church, Toronto and passionately devoted her life to making a difference in the lives of others. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband, Allan (2011) and is survived by her five children: Robert (Judy); Debbie (Jack); Susan (JP); Stephen (Linda); Joanne (Andrew). Ruth is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Forward Baptist Church, 1891 Gerard Street East, Toronto, on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at Forward Baptist Church, Tuesday, February 5th at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Forward Baptist Church.
