Roderick Sumairsingh

It is with great sadness we, the family, announce the passing of Roderick Rodney Sumairsingh on the morning of October 31 2023, Roderick passed peacefully with his children by his side after his long battle with cancer.

Roderick, lovingly known as Budge by family and friends was born to Rupert and Rosie on September 10 1948 in Trinidad, was truly "Trini to de bone" and loved his patriotic attire until his passing. Rarely ever seen without something red, black and white, he genuinely will be missed for his endless creations of Trinidad memorabilia and building special projects.

He will be missed and remembered as a loving father to his six children; Cindy, Shurland(Ann), Sean(Dennell), Rachel, Rodney(Natasha) and Darius(Anique). Roderick was a devoted grandfather to Madisyn, Jacob, Abby, Aria, Brooklynn, Jordyn and Maya. Adored brother to Shirley(Don-deceased), Sybil, Marilyn, Roland(Merilyn), Winston-deceased(Sita), Leslie(deceased), Maureen, Russell(deceased), Linda(Bryan) and beloved uncle to countless nieces and nephews.

Roderick was a wonderful and tremendously generous soul and shall be remembered as such. May he rest peacefully in paradise.
