Robert James Wilkie

Passed away suddenly at Michael Garron Hospital on Wednesday December 29th, 2021 at age 93. Beloved husband of Carol (nee MacGregor, predeceased 2018) for 69 years. Loving father of David, Ralph, and Norma. Cherished Grandpa of Lisa, Jamie, Peter and Sasha. Great grandfather to Odessa (Oddie). At age 18 Bob started a 38 year career with Ontario Hydro initially working as a draftsman and working up to be an Electrical Inspector up until his retirement at age 56. Throughout a long and rewarding life he supported and made many lasting friendships through Kingston Rd. United Church. He was lovingly given the title of “Bob the Builder” for the many, many hours spent on the upkeep and maintenance of the Church building…from roof top repairs to the Boiler in the basement - you name it, he did it. His greatest joy was time spent at the family cottage on Head Lake. He was in his element building, digging, fixing, fishing, sailing and enjoying the many memorable summers spent with family and friends.

A small private Family Service will be held, with a Celebration of Life event to held at a later date. Interment; Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
