Raffaela (Marchese) Galloro

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raffaela Galloro (nee Marchese), who peacefully passed away at the age of 97 on December 20, 2024. Born in San Nicola da Crissa, Calabria, Italy on December 13, 1927, Raffaela lived a full and vibrant life, filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family.

Raffaela was known for her incredible culinary talents. She loved nothing more than preparing delicious meals for her large family, always ensuring that everyone had a place at her table. Her kitchen was a warm, welcoming space where the flavors of Italy came to life, and her passion for cooking was only matched by her deep love for those she cared for.

In her later years, Raffaela found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending her afternoons sitting on her porch, basking in the warmth of the sun, and reflecting on the many beautiful moments she had experienced. Her peaceful presence and gentle nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Raffaela is survived by her children; Tony (Sharon), Vittoria (Pino), Giovannarosa, Saverio (Andrea), Pina, Vince, and Tom, grandchildren; Samantha, Katie, Tori, Eric, Frankie, Vinny, Chris, Mark, Sarah, Sabrina, Rachel, and Pasquale. Great-granny of Zoe, Jake, Marcus, Giuseppe, Vittoria, Gisueppe, Abrianna, Matthew, Joseph, Noah, Gabriella, Georgia, and Guilietta. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and the importance of family that will never be forgotten.

Visitation will take place on Friday December 27 from 10am-11am at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. Toronto.

Funeral Service will follow directly after the visitation promptly at 11am at the Jerrett Funeral Home.

Burial at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W. Toronto, ON.
