Davie and I were very sad to hear of Marion’s passing. Our friendship with Marion and Jimmy started in the 70’s when they came to Petronella to dance . We shared many happy visits to their always welcoming home and they gave us, from their garden, a sapling cherry tree for the garden of our first home. Like our friendship it grew and flourished. Marion will always be remembered as a talented gentle lady whose love for her daughters and Jimmy showed in her sweet smiling face.

One of our pleasures was knowing our friend Marion with her Mum, Dad, Matt and Jean, her family in Scotland, and with Jimmie, Helen and Mary Anne, her family in Canada.

 A friendship of over Eighty Years in not forgotten with ones' passing.  Marion and Jimmie will always be in our hearts.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Marion, such a lovely lady.  We know your family will miss her so much but so we will all of us at Cummer Avenue church.  She was always so friendly, kind and positive.  We were sorry to miss the funeral, but didn't hear about it until Late Friday.

We have very fond memories of Marion. We usually sat near her at church and were always graced with a  kind word and that wonderful smile. Marion was also a quilter and loved to join the weekly group, helping out in any way she could. We will miss her.

To  my cousins Mary Ann & Helen and their families David & I send sincere sympathy.  We have a very happy memory of her visit to us in Kent with Mary Ann and family.  Christmas will not be the same without her newsy letter and card.  Aunt Marion was a strong lady with a happy outlook on life.

Whether we were celebrating a birthday, enjoying a Pink Tea Party or just sitting chatting I have so enjoyed getting to know your mum over the years.  She has shown tremendous spirit over her lifetime.  So happy I was able to have a visit with her last week.  She was in fine form and we had some good laughs.....a nice memory.  One of the last things she said to me is that she had two good girls....very true.  Susan xo
