Louise Marguerite MacKenzie

Louise was born July 21, 1930 in St Paul, Alberta to Leonce and Eva Dorais (nee Delisle) eventually moving to Ottawa,Ont where she grew up with her beloved sisters Jacqueline (deceased), Eleanor (deceased) and Theresa (deceased) Eventually, the family moved to Montreal where she studied to become a registered nurse at St Mary's hospital. Upon graduation, Louise embarked upon a career as a flight attendant in the early days of commercial flying. It was during this time in the early 1950’s that she was invited to go on a blind date. That was the night she met the love of her life Richard Keith MacKenzie (d.1983) From 1952 until 1960 they grew their family to include Anne, Lynne, Bruce (Kelly) Scott (Gina) and Suzanne (Lance); grandchildren Matthew (Meghan), Samantha (Matt), Lucas, Katie (Rishi), Michael, Will, Andrew, Maggie and MacKenzie ; great grandchildren Brennan, Bryson, Emelia and Evan.

Over the years Louise worked in Politics, Psychiatry, Human Resources, Real Estate just to name a few of her many endeavors. She was President of the Catholic Women's League for St Michael's Cathedral in downtown Toronto for many years. From strangers to Prime Ministers, she had the ability to make everyone feel special. Louise was beloved by all and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Funeral services will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral home 6191 Yonge St, Toronto on Saturday, October 5. Visitation from 10-11 and then a short service.
