Leslie Frank Gates

Leslie F. Gates PhD was a hero, he fought death with incredible bravery. He was not frail but strong both mentally and physically. He died peacefully in his sleep after we both sang AMAZING GRACE accompanied by him and his wife, Greta, Exiled Queen of RAJSHAHI a Kingdom in Northern Bengal, from the Ganges to the Holy Mountain named Mount Everest, in English. It was in the year 2015 that Leslie met my husband Lenny Thompson a member of St. Aiden's Church, at Emmanuel College, where the three of us studied together.

" What happens when we die. The Course of lectures was titled " DRAWING FROM A DEEPER WELL". And our instructor was Professor Dr. Anne Simmonds.

Lenny died in 2016 and in 2017 Leslie who has a PhD in Plant Pathology and I married legally and happily in the Toronto City Hall's marriage chamber.

My daughter Julia and Leslie's daughter Margaret were witnesses. The year was 2016, the same year Leslie's marriage was 'blessed' at St. Aiden's Church using the Book of Alternate Services P.548 2nd blessing.

Ma-hat-ma Gandhi 1869-1948 called Jesus the great "Asian prophet". Christ was not a Westerner!

Jesus taught us to love our enemy: THE GREAT OFFERING OF CHRIST TO HUMANITY WAS NOT ABOUT SALVATION FROM THE WORLD. IT WAS ABOUT SALVATION OF THE WORLD.

Leslie known as Les worked until his fall (no accident!) at the British Memorial Hall. He was an archivist at Toronto City Archives.

Before Les' death I, his wife of nearly five years, read and re-read the letter from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II written from Windsor Palace. Les received it with joy on St. Valentines Day 2022 and he passed away on St. Patrick's day 2022.

Les' family of St. Aiden's Church at Queen Street East at Silver Birch Avenue welcomed him. He sang in the choir. Les became an Associate of my research corporation: TRANS-SEAS GLOBAL BEACH ANGELS INC. 2001-2022.
