JOHNSTON, J. Douglas, D.F.C. - Surrounded by his loving family Douglas peacefully entered into rest on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. He is reunited with his loving wife Roberta. He will be lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren Judy and John and their children Tara and Jazmin and daughter Enid (Tony) and their family in Scotland. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, all his family and friends. During Douglas' journey he was a WWII Veteran of which he flew with the RAF and the RCAF. In honor of his bravery Douglas was decorated with the DFC by the King of England. He had a long and successful career with the Bank of Nova Scotia for 45 years. Douglas' family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital especially the nurses in D6 and also for the extraordinary care he received in the K1 East Unit. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3rd, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the JERRETT FUNERAL HOME (6191 Yonge Street, Toronto Ontario M2M 4K4, 416-223 6050) (2 lights south of Steeles Avenue). A celebration of Douglas' life will be held in the Jerrett Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 4th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at HIGHLAND MEMORY GARDENS.
