Sorry to hear of Uncle John's passing, every once in a while we find ourselves talking about the times our two families were able to get together in Windsor, Birmingham or Toronto.  We remember the times Uncle John would come out and play a game of catch with us or give us all piggy backs.  Our condolences to our cousins Darcy, Bruce, Beth and Ian. Dad, thank you so much for all you endured to gain two more precious months together. We will cherish our quiet moments holding hands and our many chats reminiscing about our "magic moments". We love you so much. I was so proud when you took a young cardiologist through a long discussion of options,risks/benefits and your frustrations with their inability to listen to you. You ended the conversation with a smile and a "we have reached an understanding". It was so clear that you were the one still firmly in charge. You fought this battle your way to the very end and I know they will remember your lesson well. Your service yesterday was wonderful and I know you were there with us enjoying our celebration of the incredible man you are and your life.

Watched the video last evening and again today. And studied the pictures. So good to see. Made me  feel I was closer to you and to John. Sure will miss him. Hard to think he will not be there when I go back. Thinking of you all, Marilyn MacLean

Carole and family,  I will miss John's quick wit, brotherly love and all that having a brother means.  He helped me during some of my difficult times and lovingly provided guidance and support.  He also only gave me a nickel a week to clean his bath tub out, when I was a child and told me the porridge I made for him when I was ten years old was too lumpy.!!!!!   Only a sister could say that in her words of love to the family and get away with it.  I will miss you Bro ----- I hope that place in the sky is good, the arthritis doesn't hurt anymore, the heart beats strong and all is well.  With much love -- Janie xoxoxoxoxo
