Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Beloved wife of the late George Austin. Loving mother of Vivian. Cherished grandma of Patrick (Paula). Proud great-grandma of Madison. Hazel is survived by nephew David and niece Heather. Predeceased by her brother Gordon, sister Eva, and grandson Geoffrey.
Hazel was a nurse and worked for many years in the nursery at the Wellesley Hospital. She was a long time songster at the North Toronto Citadel.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 6 pm to 8 pm and again on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 10 am until the service begins at 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Toronto.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army, the Arthritis Society, or the Meighen Manor Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
