Hasul Mo-Hai Tsang (nee Lam), 77, passed away at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga on November 19, 2024, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she lived a life characterized by hope, resiliency, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones.
Born in Kowloon, Hong Kong, on January 22, 1947, Hasul was the youngest in a family of 10 children. She studied nursing in Hong Kong and midwifery in London. In 1974, she married Francis Tsang in New York, and they later moved to Canada. Hasul then dedicated 25 years of her professional career to supporting mothers and newborns as a postpartum nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.
While Hasul loved to travel, her greatest happiness came from spending quality time with her family and friends. She valued peace and harmony, and touched the lives of those around her with her gentle, caring spirit. Her recent joy of becoming a grandmother just eight weeks ago was a profound blessing.
She was fond of vibrant flowers, especially birds of paradise. Her days were often brightened by a comforting cup of orange pekoe tea, a spread of orange marmalade jam, and a piece of milk chocolate--simple pleasures that brought her joy.
Hasul is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Francis, her son Ronald, her daughter-in-law Phuong, and her granddaughter Victoria. Hasul also leaves behind her brother Frank and three sisters, Mo-Ching, Mo-Chi, and Mo-Yan, as well as her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 28th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home at 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto.
