My family and I were so saddened to hear of Uncle Frank's passing, he will be missed dearly.  The memories that I (Rita) shared with my uncle, will be cherished and remain forever in my heart. We are so sorry to hear of Zio Francisco's passing.  I have such incredible memories of our families being together at Christmas, New Year's and who could forget those Sunday picnics and driving up to Lake Simcoe with enough food to feed an army! My sincere condolences to all the families of Francesco Macchione.  I remember staying with my Uncle While I was going to college there in Scarborough.  He would send me downstairs with an empty bottle to fill with his homemade wine he used to make.  After awhile he would send my Aunt to come down and check up on me to make sure I was ok.  Well… let’s just say I had a little too much wine … lol… I also used to play Scopa with him and everytime I would go to put a card down he would say which card I was about to throw on the table.  I could never figure out how he knew which card I was about to  put down until one night he had some friends over to play cards and I noticed his eyes looking up at the last supper picture they had hanging in their kitchen.  The frame part of the picture was a mirror like glass and could see one of the players cards through the glass!!  His secret was revealed!! Lol… Good times I will always cherish.  Ti Amo Zio Francesco mi Manchi tanto❤️

Lina, Peter and family I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father.  I have so many memories of he and my father spending time, talking and drinking and laughing at our houses on Ferrier. 
In spite of their language differences they were friends and enjoyed each other’s company. 
I guess they are having a drink again and telling each other stories.
