Erwin Egon Bayer

Erwin was born in Steyr Austria, where he spent his childhood and teenage years growing up. As a young man he played second division soccer for Austria. He Moved to Canada in the 1950’s, studying at the University of Toronto while learning English to become a Chartered Accountant. His career was spent working for the Ministry of Natural Resources for Ontario. Erwin was Husband to the Late Dorothy (nee McCarthy), Father to Monika (Alex), Lesley (Terry) and David (Cathy). Grandfather to Alanna, Sara (Shahrukh), Amy (Seth), Cameron, Late Kevin, Aaron, Amanda, Adam and Katie.

He was brother to the Late Wolfgang (Trulla), Late Herta (Late Igor), Late Raimund (Imelda), and Helmut (Jill).

He loved spending time with his family, eating good food, watching hockey, soccer, and reading his Bible. He leaves behind many loved ones, family & friends who will miss him dearly.

A private family interment will precede a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.

“Then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Comfort one another with these words.”
