Ellen Bollers

It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved mother Ellen "Verney" Bollers, who passed to the arms of her Saviour in peace at the Bridgepoint Hospital on Monday, February 19, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. Ellen was born in Guyana on January 19, 1932. She came to Canada at the age of 30, where she became a Registered Nurse. She worked at Women's College Hospital, the former East General Hospital, and Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Mom is survived by her brother-in-law, Martin Butts. Sister to the late Ismay (Dora) Job, the late Dora Inez Dannette, the late Lillian Maud Campbell, and the late Carmen Diana Butts. Mother of the late Joel Bollers. June and Marcella Bollers. Grandmother of Laura, Natasha, Noel, Maxine, the late Chi, Violet, and Pearl. Aunt of many nieces including dedicated nieces, Shelly, Valerie, and Sheena, and many nephews including Sherman, and Noel. Mom will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren, her many friends and acquaintances. At mom's request, there will be a graveside service at St. John's Norway Cemetery. We are eternally grateful to the kind, caring and wonderful Nurses and Medical Team at Bridgepoint and Mount Sinai Hospitals. Donations in memory of Mrs. Ellen V. Bollers may be made to Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital.

A Graveside Service will be taking place for Ellen on Wednesday, March 6 at 1:00pm at St. John's Norway Cemetery (256 Kingston Rd, Toronto, ON M4L 1S7)
