After a lengthy battle with dementia Dorothy Helen Dennis, 79, of Toronto, died peacefully in her sleep on May 4, 2020. She was born on March 11, 1941 in Toronto. She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Margaret Buchanan, her late husband Jack Dennis, and her sister Sheila Milligan (Stan.)
Dorothy is survived by her two sons; Darrin with his wife Sharon and children Tyler and Faith, and Jason with his wife Tam and daughters Trinity and Avery. Also survived by her sister Betty Clark (Ted) and her brother Harold Buchanan (Shirley.)
A loving mother, wife and grandmother, Dorothy was an amazing cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She was well known for making roast beef dinners with scalloped potatoes that her grandchildren grew to love. Dorothy was an avid collector of Royal Dalton dolls and who loved Elvis Presley.
The family wishes to thank everyone who have extended their support for Dorothy during her final years. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when she will be laid to rest next to her late husband.
