David Macniven, born November 4, 1966, in Dunfermline, Scotland, succumbed to illness and passed away on June 28, 2021. Those who knew him well, knew his incredible capacity for love, his brilliant mind, dark wit, loyalty, empathy and passion for social justice. He was a talented actor, and a lifelong advocate for workers' rights, sitting on the board of ACTRA (Actors Union) for nearly two decades. He was also a loyal friend; a devoted son, brother and uncle; and a loving partner. But the role he cherished most was that of being a father.
He is survived in loving memory by his children Styx and Ivor Macniven (mother: Kathryn Rose), his parents Mary and James Macniven, his sister Christine Macniven, nieces Sophia and Isabella Soares and his love, Mackenzie Muldoon.
