We learned about Peter's passing when I was viewing the August 15 Mass on Vision. Sincere condolences to the family, and Father Dan. The last time we saw Peter was at one of the Family reunions in Midland. We are all decendants of the Dusome sisters. Dan, I still remember how privileged my sister Callie and I felt when we were invited to see the guppies!!

I was saddened and surprised to hear of the Peter,s death. I knew him through Financial Executives institute. I had spoken with him  at a FEI event at Stratford this Spring .

I went to school with Peter (as he was called then). The last time I saw Peter was in grade 8 at Holy Name School. Peter won the boy's scholarship and I the girl's. I was known as Barbara Swift at that time.

I only recently made Peter's acquaintance through Enneagram North but I immediately felt a connection with him at my very first meeting.  We shared a similar Catholic education with the Basilians and my last contact with him was when we both took part in a panel conducted at St Michaels College. I didn't know him then but we each had taken classes in that very room 50 years ago. At one of our last meetings he had promised to invite me to join him at the Centering Prayer group he belonged to. It seemed like the beginning of a real friendship. I will miss.

Sad news to hear of Peter's passing.  Our most sincere condolences to Elizabeth and family.  I worked with Peter over our years together at GE.  Fond memories of our times together and amidst the pressures of corporate live he was always a good human being.  He has left us much too early.

Peter Donovan was a treasured member since 1985 of our association, Financial Executives International Canada, and staff and members are deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He ascended to the role of national board chair in 1998-99, but he was particularly active on the topic of pensions, and made significant, thoughtful contributions as the Chair of the Pensions Task Force, wielding the pen on many papers and missives calling for improvements to Canada's private sector pension regulations, among other topics.
More recently Peter was active as a "FEIster", a group of retired financial executives. Peter made many valuable contributions to FEI Canada and was highly respected by his peers -- fellow CFOs and financial executives.
Peter continued to remain active until this year, regularly attending Toronto Chapter dinner meetings. 
I am so sorry to hear this very sad news and offer my condolences. Peter Donovan will be missed.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard of Peter's sudden passing. I did not know Peter well but from the occasions Liz and Peter were with Heather and I, Peter impressed me greatly. I thought of him as a true Renaissance man with many and varied interest and a keen intellect. He possessed a humility and kindness that made him instantly likeable. The world Is a poorer place without Peter.
