Born in Holland on August 24, 1924, Bernadette emigrated to Canada and built a life grounded in family, faith, and community. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank, her cherished daughter Petronella (Peggy), and her dear son Leo.
In her final years, Bernadette resided at Holland Christian Homes, where she received exceptional care and remained a vibrant presence. A proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bernadette had a passion for travel and a soft spot for a good casino visit with friends—always up for a laugh and a little fun.
Though she outlived her immediate family, Bernadette’s warmth, strength, and generosity leave a lasting legacy among her extended family, dear friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 75 Churchill Avenue, North York, on April 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernadette’s memory are welcome to Holland Christian Homes, in appreciation of the care and community she experienced there.
