With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Antonio Silveira on January 12, 2024 at the age of 87.
Born in Flores, Acores, Portugal to Francisco and Olivia. Antonio leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Maria Natalia. Cherished father to Joe (Angie) Avila, and Cindy (John). Beloved grandfather of Bianca (Jonny), Jenessa, Lucas and Andrew. Antonio is survived by his sister Maria Conceiçao. Antonio will be forever missed by his nieces, nephews, many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm at the Jerrett Funeral Home- St. Clair Chapel (1141 St. Clair Ave., east of Dufferin St.). A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at St. Anthony Church (1041 Bloor St. W., east of Dufferin St. Toronto) at 10 am. On the morning of the mass, please go directly to the church, to allow the family some quiet time prior to the mass. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge St., south of Hwy # 7, Thornhill). In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Antonio’s memory to the Parkinson Society of Canada.
