Mr. Amedeo Maida

God called Amedeo peacefully in the presence of his loving family on October 13, 2015. Born in Cosenza, Italy in 1929, Amedeo immigrated to Canada in 1952 in order to create a brighter future for his family. Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Antonietta Maida, his brothers Antonio Maida and Vittorio Maida, and his sister Rosaria Lavia. A loving and dedicated husband to his childhood sweetheart, Rosa for 63 years. Exemplary father to Amelia (Rocco Piccolo), Vincent (Tatiana), and Antonette. Cherished and proud grandfather to Robert (Carla), David, Alexandria (Andrew), Olivia, Vincent Amedeo, and William. Amedeo was a humble and selfless man who always made the needs and wellbeing of his family his top priority. Family will receive guests at the Delmoro Funeral Home (61 Beverly Hills Dr., south of Wilson Ave., west of Jane St 416 249-4499) on Thursday, October 15 2015 from 6-9 pm; and Friday, October 16 2015 from 2- 4 & 6- 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 17 2015 at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church (2100 Jane St., south of Wilson Ave.). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge St., south of Hwy #7). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Heart & Stroke Foundation:
