Vincent Butler

Born in Jersey City, he lived there and in Bayonne for many years before settling in Leisure Village.

A United States Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Butler worked as a press operator for Jersey City Print for many years.

He retired in 1998.

He is survived by his children, Debra DeGregorio of Toms River, Colleen Cogliano (Butler) and her husband Dennis of Pine Beach, Vincent Butler and his wife Lavina of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin Butler of Lakewood, and Cheryl Bernatowicz and her husband Raymond of Kissimmee, FL; his former wife, Rita Gallagher of Toms River; 7 grandchildren, Christopher Butler, Craig Zitzman, George Chesney III, Daniel Chesney, Michael DeGregorio, Nicole Cogliano, and Lana Cogliano; 3 great-grandchildren, Angelique Zitzman, Jayden Zitzman, and Hannah Chesney; and a sister, Joan Butler of Lakewood.

Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.

Interment, with military honors, will take place Friday, June 17, 2016 at 1:30pm at Brig. Gen. W.C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
