Born in Teaneck, New Jersey to the late Howard and Lorayne Thiel. Susan resided in North Bergen, New Jersey where she grew up before moving to Rockaway, New Jersey then later to Bushkill, Pennsylvania. She later settled in Berkeley Township.
Prior to retiring, Susan was a payroll associate for APA Transport in North Bergen, New Jersey for most of her life. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe, cooking, and going to Broadway shows. More than anything, she loved spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her loving husband, Gerald, of 53 years; her twin daughters, Jennifer and Cheryl Roe and her husband Brian; her brothers, Gary and Kerry Thiel; her grandchildren, Katie, Benjamin and Matthew; and her son-in-law, Martin Reyes.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, New Jersey 08755. A private cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Susan's name to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
