Sherylann Middleton

Sherylann Middleton 55, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on March 22, 2025. She was a devoted mother, a beloved daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend.

Born in Belleville, NJ Sheryl was raised in Jersey City and Bayville, where she was a graduate of Central Regional High School. She was a member of their Modern Choir, the Marching Golden Eagles Color Guard and an original member of their first Winter/Indoor Guard. She was a 30 yr resident of Toms River, NJ where she raised her family.

Sheryl made friends who became family, at every job she had. After working at JC Penney's, Sheryl worked at Community Medical Center, in Medical Records. It was during this time that she had her two daughters. Sheryl then began her next role as the beloved front desk receptionist at Sung Star Academy. While there, Sheryl's was the first smiling face that greeted every adult and child who walked through the door. She made a lasting impression on everyone. She then moved on to what would be her final career, as a secretary with the Toms River School District. During her 10 years, she had a brief period at East Dover Elementary, but the majority of her time was spent at Toms River High School East. Sheryl loved her job and her work family, where she would start every morning with a Wawa dark roast coffee and a smile. Sheryl was known for her office pranks and her infectious giggle.

Sheryl is reunited in death, with her loving parents Rosemary (Tassitano) and John Casazza.

Sheryl is survived by her life's treasure, her two daughters Sydney Middleton (home) and Rebecca Middleton and her fiancé Robert Carella, of Toms River and her devoted sister Denise Casazza (home), in addition to heartbroken aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends. Sheryl was loved dearly and we are all grateful to have had her in our lives, we will cherish our memories forever.

A visitation for Sherylann will be held Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753, with a funeral service from 1:30 PM. Cremation is private.
