She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Amedeo D’Adamo Sr and Mary Presuto D’Adamo and was raised in North Plainfield. After graduating from North Plainfield High School, she had several secretarial jobs.
Upon retiring and moving to Toms River, she became a certified home health aide and helped those in need. Rose was a very active member in the Silver Ridge Community Club House, an avid bridge player, and bowler. She had many good friends throughout her life and was willing to help all who needed her. Her warm smile and great sense of humor were some of her best qualities. Her famous words were, “Ya gotta laugh,” and laugh she did. Rose’s upbeat and positive attitude could light up a room.
She was predeceased by her eldest sister, Anna D’Adamo, her younger sisters, Aida Gross and Anne Iannone. She was also predeceased by her Grandson, Jason Geist.
Surviving are her daughter and son: Lisa Geist and Ralph Scarpellino; her brother: Amedeo D'Adamo, Jr. and his wife Ann; grandchildren: Brian Geist (Kristen), Nickolas Scarpellino, Zachary Scarpellino, and Lucas Scarpellino; great grandchildren: Gabriella Rose Geist, Adelyn Jean Geist and Jacob Thomas Scarpellino; her nephews: Matthew Gross (Wendy) and Amedeo D’Adamo III; and her nieces: Gillian Zeldin, Heather D’Adamo Small, and Kimberly D’Adamo Green.
