Richard R Shelton

Born in Chicago, IL, he grew up in Redondo Beach, WA until entering the military.

He has lived in Middlesex County since 1968.

A US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Shelton was employed as a Branch Manager for US Security for many years until retiring in 2010.

He was a member of the American Legion, and was also a Mason.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, and was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Claude and Margaret Shelton, and his sister, Molly Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie; his sons, Richard and his wife Erin of Bayville, and Robert and his fianc Allison of Fairfax, VA; his stepsons, Peter Fizer and his wife Allyson, and Robert Fizer and his wife Jeanette, all of Fords, and his grandchildren, Ryan, Mackenzie, Peter Jr., and Hailey.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-9 pm at the Boylan Funeral Home, 10 Wooding Avenue, Edison.

Funeral Service and Military Honors will be held at 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
