Patricia Wargo

Born in Staten Island, New York to the late Hugh and Florence McGowan. Patricia grew up in Newburgh, New York, then Irvington, New Jersey before residing in Colonia with her husband Stephen where she raised her family for more than 30 years, eventually settling in Toms River in 1995.

Prior to retiring, Patricia was an accounts payable supervisor for National State Bank in New Brunswick for most of her life. She was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society for St. John Vianney Church in Colonia as well as St. Maximillian Kolbe in Toms River. She was a member of the Garden Club, and the First Aid Squad Auxiliary. She was a lifelong avid reader, loved the beach and spending time with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Stephen of 60 years; Her son Thomas Wargo in 2012, as well as her two brothers Eugene McGowan and John ( Jack) McGowan.

Surviving are her two children Patricia Tideman and her husband Thomas and

Margaret “Peggy” Rossi and her husband John. Her five grandchildren Erin (Scott)

Thomson, Thomas ( Sheri) Tideman, Brittany ( Matthew) Ricciardi, Lauren(

Christopher) Barone and John Rossi. Her 3 Great Grandchildren Madeline Thomson, Vivienne Thomson and Kayla Tideman.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 12:00 pm at The St. Maximilian Kolbe Church located at 130 St Maximilian lane, Toms River, NJ 08757.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meals On Wheels of Ocean County or the American Cancer Society.
