Michael Downing

"Big Mike" as he was affectionately called by his friends and family, held the hand of his wife of 55 years, Jean, whom he called "Dolly" as he passed from this world. Also survived by Michael are his five children, Christine, Michelle, Elizabeth, Michael Jr. and Mary and their spouses. Michael had ten wonderful grandchildren; Andrew, Matthew and Patrick Schoenberger, Erin and Vincent Pepe, Nicole and Lauren Maddalena, Olivia Downing and Ella and Max Wyckoff, whom they referred to as their "Beautiful Pop Pop". He impacted all of us in his own special way with wit and humor and usually a good dose of tough love. He will forever be missed.

Michael's greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow. He took such pride in all their accomplishments. An avid fisherman, he lived vicariously through his son Michael and was in awe of his big catches.

Michael is predeceased by his parents; Richard and Mary as well as his three sisters; Joan, Eldora and Margaret. He will join them in heaven.
